A Flood Watch means that flooding is possible during the watch period.

The Meteorological Service has DOWNGRADED the

  • Flood WARNING to a FLOOD WATCH for Dominica at 12 noon

  • Until 6pm Wednesday November 11th, 2020.

  • Unstable conditions due to the presence of a trough system will continue to affect Dominica during the next 12 to 24 hours. Recent radar imagery indicated that the intensity of shower activity is generally decreasing. The forecast is for occasional light showers to continue to affect the island. However, localized enhancement could result in periods of moderate showers during the afternoon. Flash flooding is therefore possible.

People in areas that are prone to flooding, landslide and falling rocks should be vigilant and continue to take all precautionary measures to protect life and property.
